I've just returned from Haley and Justin's and was anxious to explore your website. It's wonderful, and I'll be visiting it to see updates. We'll have to do a wine tour in Greg's caddy for your website this coming year. Have a great New Year and hope to see you soon.
Sincerely,
Bonnie Douglas

Your Dad sent me the Ruby Suitcase shortly after returning from the trip to France. Over the month I've been able to read through your tips and comments and find them not just delightful and entertaining but very informative indeed. You have sparked my interest in trying some of the Interior wines, which in earlier days I would refer to as "Kelowna Outfall" and "Similkameen Sewer" but given your obvious expertise in wines perhaps things have improved over the decades since I last let such miserable fluid pass my lips.
A trip to France is certainly now on my agenda and the suggestions you make about little things such as soap, shampoo (which your Dad and I need little) certainly helps - along with more esoteric tips to be sure. I visited Northern France in 1995 for a few days and found everyone to be so friendly, especially after flashing a Canadian passport. Your descriptions compel another and much longer trip.
Your Dad and I were classmates in Law School and I have met you and Jennifer a few times when you were quite young but not for about 15 years or so now. Nonetheless both parents have kept me abreast of your work and travels, but I must say the extent of your writing skills was unknown until now. Do expand your work at least for the pleasure of us less-accomplished souls.

Warmest regards.
